Beverly Kearney, founder of “Pursuit of Dreams”, a non-profit organization that mentors, encourages and enables people to pinnacles of achievement, wants to inspire you to accomplish your full potential.

A successful track coach, Ms. Kearney has been University of Texas Women’s Head Track and Field Coach for the past fourteen years and has won 7 national championships. This is the most of any college African-American Coach and second among women coaches of any college sport. Her winning ways earned her a 2004 induction in the prestigious International Women’s Sports Hall of Fame.

Speaking from the mantra of “believe it, speak it, do it”, Coach Kearney has help develop fourteen Olympians with nine receiving medals including four gold. Even more impressive is her young ladies have a 95% graduation rate and at this point 230 receiving All-American honors.

This just did not start with her coaching. As a high school senior, Bev lost her mother and was homeless. This did not deter her as she completed college as a standout athlete and finished grad school as an academic scholar.

Adversity hit again in 2002. Traveling in her SUV with friends and family for a Florida vacation, the car ran off the road at a high speed leaving two in the car dead while the driver was injured and she suffered serious injury. Doctors thought she would be paralyzed for the rest of her life. Using her own principles, she is walking now and has coached her young ladies from her hospital bed, a wheelchair, a walker, and standing and walking on her own. In this time she won another national championship.

Last year, Bev was honored by the Buoniconti Foundation as a Great Sports Legend. Some other elite members of this honor include Michael Jordan and Muhammed Ali. She has been featured on HBO and ESPN shows along with articles in many national magazines.

“Intimate Conversations with Greatness” was birthed as Ms. Kearney met US presidents, business superstars, broadway and movie stars, and sports heroes. “Intimate Conversations with Greatness” is a motivational mentoring program that utilizes trailblazers in any given field to help especially transitional people achieve nothing less their greatness.

Besides coaching at University of Texas, Bev has also coached at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and University of Florida, Gainesville. Her message is universal and applicable to all regions.
